Hard to believe that it has been 50 years since country music legend Patsy Cline passed away in a plane crash. There is one artist in country music whose vocal style has compared to the late-great Cline since she sang her debut single “Blue.” That artist is Leann Rimes, who did an awesome tribute to Patsy, singing a medley of her greatest hits that sent chills down my spine last night at the American Country Awards in Las Vegas! Leann seemed to be channeling Patsy, as she sang a seamless medley of Cline’s greatest hits. I think it’s hard to transition from one song to another, for any artist, when doing a ‘medley of hits’ but Leann knocked it out of the park!

That performance was actually my favorite part of the fan-voted awards show last night! I love Trace Adkins, but I do not think that he is comfortable hosting this award show. This year he co-hosted with Danica Patrick, and it just seemed ‘awkward’ at best. What did you think about the show last night?
