1933 – Country Music Hall of Fame member, Roy Clark, is born in Meherrin, Virginia.
1963 – Five weeks after her tragic plane crash. Patsy Cline’s “Sweet Dreams (Of You)” is released by Decca.
1981 – “I Wouldn’t Have Missed It For The World” is recorded by Ronnie Milsap.
1989 – Dolly Parton is host and musical guest on “Saturday Night Live”. She would sing “Why’d You Come In Here Lookin’ Like That“.
1996 – Clay Walker is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. At the time he was told he would be wheelchair bound in four years, dead by 8. Thankfully, the doctor was wrong!
1999 – Vince Gill is rear-ended in Nashville, causing a 3-car pile up. While the paper work is getting filled out. The driver who hit Vince, hands him a tape hoping that he would record one of his songs!
2004 – The music video for Big & Rich’s “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)” is shoot throughout the streets of Nashville. Included in the video were Gretchen Wilson, Gary Chapman and the Atlanta Falcon cheerleaders!
2008 – Lady Antebellum releases their debut album on Capitol!
